Book of the Month – April

The Whole- Brain Child by Dr Dan Siegel and Dr Tina Bryson

Our book of the month is now considered an ‘oldie but goodie’ in the world of parenting books. Written by a neuroscientist and a parenting expert, it aims to deepen our understanding of how our children’s brains are wired, and what can be expected from them at different stages in their development. It talks us through why children may respond and react the way they do, and provides us with strategies that help us navigate through tough parenting moments, while at the same time nurturing the qualities we want our kids to develop.

*Do bear in mind that this book was written with neurotypical kids in mind and some of the strategies may not be the most effective choice for your child.

The Whole-Brain Child is readily available in Amazon and Kinokuniya
