What does Physiotherapy support look like?
Our intervention begins by gathering information and comprehensively assessing a child’s physical needs. Therapy intervention is playful and fun with the child actively participating in rewarding activities whenever possible. Based on our assessment findings, support may include:
Individualized therapy: this follows a plan of action based on functional goals that are clearly stated and reviewed regularly.
Recommendations for accommodations in school and at home that support a child’s mobility needs.
Advice regarding activities that will encourage a child’s physical development.
Assessment for, and the prescription of walking aids and joint consultations with Occupational Therapists to make recommendations for seating solutions and wheelchairs.
