Book of the Month – September

by | 23 Sep 2022 | Autism, Book of the Month, Neurodiversity, Parenting support

This book was written by Rose, and her mum Jodie, and we would highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for a book to help introduce your child to their autistic identity. It gives insight from Rose’s lived experience, on what it is like to have autism, and covers topics such as making friends, sensory experiences, masking* and what ‘overwhelm’ feels like. In each section, Jodie gives an additional explanation of the topic and this provides the adult reader with more information and a deeper understanding.

This book is available on Bookshop.org

*The subject of masking is our podcast choice for this month.
