Tamlyn Tan

I am a pediatric physiotherapist from Singapore. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy with Honours from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2014. I became a Developmental Play Practitioner in 2018. And in September 2020, I became a board-certified Neonatal Therapist granted by the Neonatal Therapy National Certification Board.

Before joining Kaleidoscope, I was working at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital for more than 6 years where I gained much experience working with infants and children from 0 to 16 years old with wide range of gross motor difficulties. I am adept in working with neonates, infants and children with various developmental needs such as complex medical and neurological conditions, global developmental delay and orthopaedic conditions such as torticollis, and gait difficulties (including tiptoe walking, in-toeing and out-toeing).

My clinical interests are in prematurity and early intervention. I am passionate about working with babies and their families to integrate and embed gross motor skill learning with play. I am dedicated to empowering children to move and play the way they are meant to. Play is not optional or something ‘nice’, it is how growth and development should be!
